ISRO Successfully Launches NISAR Satellite

NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite was successfully launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.
- Joint mission between NASA (US) and ISRO (India)
- Cost: approximately $1.5 billion — world's most expensive Earth-observation satellite
- Purpose: Monitor ecosystems, ice masses, natural hazards, sea level rise
- Orbit: Sun-synchronous orbit at 747 km altitude
- Revisit time: Every 12 days for complete Earth scan
